Laboratory Management is a mandatory field, and the institution must be inspected for all fields being performed at the time of inspection.
Even if only one test item is performed, the institution must be inspected for the common requirements and related requirements of the relevant field.
All institutions performing referral testing must undergo a separate inspection for the Referral Testing field. Referral medical laboratories that do not provide inpatient care are exempt from the Comprehensive Verification and Point-of-Care Testing fields.
